A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical is a health check required for commercial vehicle drivers. It ensures that people who drive commercial vehicles are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to operate safely on the roads.

Please bring your driver's license, a list of current medications, glasses/contacts if you wear them, and any specific medical clearance letters for existing conditions (like diabetes or heart issues).

Most DOT medical certificates are valid for 24 months. However, the medical examiner may issue a certificate for a shorter period if they need to monitor a specific medical condition, such as high blood pressure.
